Lumen Christi came about as a response to the evangelization thrust of City on the Hill Community, for women who are looking for a personal relationship with God but could not do so in the context of a community because of various reasons and life situations.

Lumen Christi (Light of Christ) is an expression of who we are as City on the Hill.

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden…let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”

(Matthew 5:14,16)

What does it mean to be Lumen Christi? 

• To live for Christ and to bring others to Christ
• To live holy and Godly lives (2 Peter 3:11).
• To be a lifestyle evangelist
• To be light wherever we are, with whomever we are and in whatever we say and do.

Lumen Christi's spiritual approach is inspired from the priestly function of Aaron as mediator between God and man. Each meeting consists of a time for prayer and personal ministry. The meetings are open to anybody needing prayers for themselves or for others. The groupings are localized and offers an environment that is safe, loving, and welcoming while being in different neighborhood groups.
